Tailored Image proudly supports Smart Works Charity
At Tailored Image, we are acutely aware of the impact that clothing can make in empowering individuals to perform well in job interviews and to feel confident in their daily roles.
As such, we have admired the important work of Smart Works – a charity set up to help support women in unemployment to prepare for interview through donations of clothing and interview preparation sessions. Women are referred to the organisation from Job Centres, mental health charities, women’s refuges, homeless shelters, the prison service and care and youth organisations.
It was our pleasure to recently donate hundreds of items to give some much-needed help in replenishing the wardrobes in this charity.
For every referral to Smart Works, a woman will receive a bespoke dressing consultation to help identify which clothing items are most suitable for their shape and style. With help, she will then select a beautiful, high-quality outfit to help fill her with confidence for her interview. The whole outfit is completely free and hers to keep.
As well as help with interview preparation from an expert interview coach, each woman will, upon success at interview stage, have a second dressing appointment where she can select a capsule wardrobe of clothing to help sustain her until her first pay cheque. The items donated by Tailored Image will help give these women the choice of high quality fabrics and classic designs to help them on their journey to success.
Speaking on receipt of the items, Smart Works representative Charlotte Hope stated:
‘We cannot thank Tailored Image enough for your generosity in sending these amazing donations. Our West Centre at Ladbroke Grove was in serious need of this kind of stock and these will really make a difference to our wardrobe. Thank you.’
