The brief was to deliver a hotel uniform that reflected the distinctive style and ambience of this elegant urban resort in the exclusive Ballsbridge neighbourhood. A further consideration was the uniform’s effect on guest experience, as the hotel plays host to many of the country’s most distinguished visitors. The team at Tailored Image knew there was no better way to deliver a 5-star welcome than an immaculately dressed doorman. The uniform designed for the doorman, the first person to greet the guests at the hotel, instantly enhances the brand message and makes a fitting first impression.
The experience of guests at the InterContinental is paramount and the uniforms worn by staff needed to be appropriate to the time of day, reflecting that guests are a little less formal in the morning but expect more formality at an important lunch or dinner. A wardrobe of bespoke uniforms was designed for the food and beverage staff, with an understated elegance worthy of the fine dining experience provided. The range included relaxed collarless blouses to start the day allowing for a change to a more formal look for lunch and dinner. Finely tailored waistcoats incorporating rich silk trim, combined with crisp white tops featuring deep three button cuffs, add to the diners’ experience of a full 5-star service.
