Tailored Image has delivered a second refresh of its corporate uniform range for PTSB (Formerly Permanent TSB), a suite of garments which was first delivered to the client in 2019.
PTSB has enjoyed a long history as a financial institution in Ireland, having first began operations over 200 years ago. Throughout this time, the bank has focused on delivering exceptional customer service and connecting with the local community. Corporate wear adopts a very important role in providing this level of customer service and the brief in this case was to provide a look that achieved a balance of professionalism and approachability.
A key area of focus of PTSB’s Sustainability Strategy is to ensure that they procure goods and services in a responsible way, while effectively managing the impact that their operations has on the environment.
With this in mind, Tailored Image presented a collection of corporate wear to PTSB that would meet the Bank’s sustainability objectives at all stages of the process, from the method of manufacture to the packaging used to deliver it. The polyester used in each of the suiting garments is made from recycled plastic bottles, therefore preventing them from reaching landfill or polluting our oceans. In packaging terms, all plastic items have now been removed and replaced with recyclable cardboard (for backing boards for shirts), metal clips and biodegradable and/or recyclable polythene bags for wrapping.
The predominant feature for the corporate wear suite is a classic tailored navy pin dot suit for both male and female staff, encompassing a traditional single-breasted jacket, coupled with straight leg trousers former and an A-line skirt for the latter, achieving the desired professional aesthetic.
In the interest of wearer choice, females are given the option of a plain white long-sleeved top or a printed short sleeved top to accompany their suit. For the gentlemen, the choice is between a white or light blue shirt. Females have a further option of a navy dress in place of the skirt and top combination.
To incorporate the brand identity of PTSB, the signature orange forms an integral part of the printed top for ladies as well as an additional scarf option which is designed to accompany the dress option. For the males, a striking plain orange tie achieves the necessary splash of brand colour and forms a strong contrast to the dark navy suit.
Speaking of their experience with Tailored Image, Sharon Flanagan of PTSB, whose remit extends to Performance & Strategy Implementation and Retail Distribution, cited:
‘The team at Tailored Image has been with us on our journey as we have expanded our branch network by 30% to 98 locations nationwide. The user-friendly process of ordering corporate wear items and having them delivered directly to our branches and/or home addresses has alleviated a lot of the administration process for us. We have found Tailored Image customer service to be excellent and we’re delighted to be able to work with them to deliver a suite of garments to our colleagues that is built with sustainability in mind.’
