Tailored Image has been crowned with the ‘Corporatewear Sustainability Award’ at the Professional Clothing Industry Association Worldwide (PCIAW) Awards held at the Hilton London Metropole.
This award was the final and most prestigious accolade presented on an evening which recognised innovative individuals and organisations breaking boundaries in the professional clothing industry. Tailored Image fought off competition from some of the most renowned names in the industry to be crowned winners in this category. The criteria for the award included sustainably made corporatewear, responsible sourcing of materials, positive impact on the environment and sustainable ideas outside of carbon reduction whilst maintaining functionality and durability.
Instrumental in the success at this awards ceremony was undoubtedly the recent easyJet uniform contract, which incorporates 45 recycled plastic bottles into each suit for easyJet’s 14,000 pilots and cabin crew across Europe. This project is reflective of both Tailored Image’s commitment to sustainability and its ability to successfully manage large scale corporate contracts.
The Tailored Image team was delighted to be joined on the evening by three representatives from easyJet team, including Tina Milton, Director of Cabin Services, and her colleagues Angela Mullen and Sara Coulthard, all of whom so deservedly shared in the celebrations.
Speaking of the success, Tailored Image Managing Director, Bernard Birt, commented:
‘Our success at this awards ceremony is an achievement we are very proud of. Sustainability matters to us, it matters to our customers and together we are making a difference to our environment in a way which does not compromise either the aesthetics of our uniforms or the streamlined processes via which they are ordered and delivered. The recent easyJet contract is a testament to this and is indicative of our capabilities to manage even the most high-profile contracts.
We’re delighted to have been recognised by our industry in such a positive way, and I must pay tribute to our fantastic team across even single department in this business who go above and beyond every day to make success our reality.’
